150th Anniversary

St Annes Parish Church was consecrated in 1873 and this year is the 150th anniversary of that event. To celebrate, the church is holding a number of events throughout the summer, with the anniversary mass being held on August 6th. Prior to that, in July, there is commemorative Arts Week with Music, Word & Song. During the week there will be an exhibition of paintings by local artists and a display of the church’s history, and in the evenings there will be a variety of musical events to suit all tastes. Details of these concerts may be found below.

Entrance to all concerts, with the exception of the concert on Thursday 13th July, costs £10, and is payable on the door. However you can purchase a ‘Season Ticket’ in advance for £40; this will admit you to all concerts during the week. This is available from members of the Social Committee or from the Parish Office.
