Heritage Mural

The St Annes Heritage Mural, a truly magnificent work of art and talent, is a celebration of the history of the community which has grown into the town of St Annes that we know today. We are blessed that it is housed in our beautiful Parish Church, which gave its name to the town. The mural, 18 feet long,  6’5″ high and containing 2,166,528 stitches, took our twenty eight St Annes Broderers almost 7 years to complete and has won several awards.

In July 2026 we celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of the dedication of this amazing embroidery, and its incredible story may be found in the link below. For more detail about the stories of each panel, please view the booklet, also below.

Enjoy and marvel at the time and talent that went into this treasure that we hold at St Annes Parish Church. For group visits please contact the Parish Office for further information.

Various souvenirs of the mural are available for purchase. These include brochures, postcards and bookmarks.

(With thanks to Mr Tony Berwick for his skill in digitising this history for us.)
