Council of Nicaea: 1,700th Anniversary
Cathedral, in partnership with Churches Together in Lancashire, is hosting a three-day event that will reflect on the enduring legacy of Nicaea. The event will bring together theologians and ecumenical leaders to explore how the principles of honest disagreement and loving engagement can help address the challenges we face today—with both passion and compassion.

The Lord’s Prayer Tour, Faith in the North
Rt Rev Philip North, Bishop of Blackburn, invites everyone in the Diocese to attend this FREE Faith in the North event at Blackburn Cathedral, which will include a compelling teaching session, music and a thought-provoking film.

Creation Care Conference: God’s World and Our Mission
On Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November 2025, Blackburn Cathedral is honoured to host this Conference for all who are passionate about the Church’s response to the climate crisis, rooted in Christian theology and discipleship bringing together voices from across the Christian spectrum to explore how faith communities can respond to the environmental crisis.
