We witnessed, at our Parish Mass on Sunday 17th December 2023, what was, for many of us, a unique celebration. Our august bass chorister of many years standing, Mr. Richard Baker, was awarded The Royal School of Church Music Loyal Service Medal and Ribbon, along with the RSCM Long Service Certificate and engraved personal bronze medal to celebrate fifty years as a member of St Anne’s Parish Church Choir.
This is an outstanding achievement. We give thanks to Richard for his many years of commitment and the superb contribution he has made to the music of our services of worship to date, and we look forward to many, many more anthems, motets, psalms and canticles and hearing Richard’s fine bass voice!
