Heritage Open Day 2021

The Church will be open for general viewing, on Saturday 18th September, from 1.00pm to 5.00pm. Come and visit this fine Grade II listed building. See the WW1 Memorial Chapel, the RNLI ‘Laura Jane’ Memorial, and the famous St Annes Heritage Mural, which tells the story of St Annes on the Sea from 1873 to the present time.

There will be organised tours of the bell-tower on the hour from 11.00am. The last tour will begin at 4.00pm. The tour will include an explanation of how the bell rings, a demonstration of ringing by the bell-ringers, a viewing of the bells themselves, and a visit to the roof of the tower, weather permitting, to see our town and its surroundings from a different perspective. There will be an opportunity for those interested, to ring a bell (under expert supervision, of course).

Hand sanitiser stations will be readily available. In line with the government guidelines on the wearing of facemasks in indoor public places the Church of England would like all those entering Church buildings to wear a face mask.
