Remembrance Sunday

Tomorrow the country keeps Remembrance Sunday, which will be very different this year; there will be no civic services, and indeed, no services in Church. However, please look for the Service of Remembrance we recorded in Church before the Lockdown began. It will ‘go live’ on our Facebook page at 10.54 am. – timed so that the remembrance silence fall at 11.00 am. If you have not visited our Facebook page before click on the link on the Welcome page.

It is possible to see this Facebook page without having a Facebook account of your own. The video will also be available on our Youtube channel. Please feel free to share the video.

During the lockdown the pattern of worship and prayer will be slightly different:

8.00 am Morning Prayer

9.00 am Holy Eucharist

5.00 pm Evening Prayer

There will inevitably be deviations from the pattern, but I will strive to put a notice on our Facebook page if the timing of a Service is to change.

Tomorrow – Remembrance Sunday – the Holy Eucharist will start at 9.15 am.

With my love and prayers for you all

Fr. David

Update: By Monday morning the short service of Remembrance for the Fallen of St. Anne’s-on-the-Sea, especially those of World War II, had had over 1,200 viewings.
