The Church will be open for general viewing, on Saturday 17th September, from 11.00pm to 4.30pm. Come and visit this fine Grade II listed building. See the WW1 Memorial Chapel, the RNLI ‘Laura Jane’ Memorial, and the famous St Annes Heritage Mural, which tells the story of St Annes on the Sea from 1873 to the present time.
There will be organised tours of the bell-tower 11.45am, 12.45pm, 1.45pm and 2.45pm. The tour will include an explanation of how the bell rings, a demonstration of ringing by the bell-ringers, a viewing of the bells themselves, and a visit to the roof of the tower, weather permitting, to see our town and its surroundings from a different perspective. There will be an opportunity for those interested, to ring a bell (under expert supervision, of course).
Refreshments will be available as well as activities for children and a tombola.
