War Graves D-Day Landings Commemoration

St Annes Parish Churchyard holds 60 graves or memorials to local servicemen who gave their lives for our country in both world wars, and this year we commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings.

Please come along and join us on Saturday June 8th, any time between 9:30 am until 3:00 pm, when we will be sprucing up the War Graves and Memorials in our churchyard. Bring friends, family and gardening tools with you.

Alternatively, you may prefer to come along and bring refreshments for the ‘troops’ or help serve refreshments.

You may also like to consider adopting a grave. This means periodically visiting the site and ensuring that the grave is neat and tidy and adopting one of these soldiers as if a member of your own family. This not only is a means to remember those who gave their lives, but also helps to maintain this registered Commonwealth War Graves Site.
